Boy Oh Boy Baby Shower

  This weekend  I helped host a baby shower for my friend, Courtney. The baby shower looked like Pinterest threw up on this house and it was awesome! How did we live before Pinterest? So many great ideas came from there including the tissue paper balls and chinese lanterns hanging above the table and some of the paper stars that I did. Courtney’s sister made the cookies, awesome chicken salad sandwiches, ribbon wreath, and the adorable stork diaper cake all from Pinterest. I made the cake but I did not like how the outside turned out. The icing didn’t hold up that well, I’m sure I did something wrong when I was making it but I don’t know what that is. The icing was kinda melting off and the stars were falling. But the inside… I loved. I did a blue ombre cake on the inside. There’s also two things that I contributed that I’ll show you more of on a later date….   Mustache Cups and Chalkboard Table Cloth…. Later this week I’ll show you how to make both. One of the best parts of the baby shower, besides hooking Courtney up with some cool stuff, was seeing that people still take time to make gifts. There were so many amazing blankets and burp cloths that were made. Courtney’s sister has some mad skills at crafting and her grandma made the prettiest cross with hand painted biplanes on it. It’s amazing to see what others make and give their time to do for those people that they love.
